Mark Dirlam has been named regional vice president of the McGuire Group’s Western New York-based facilities. In this role, Dirlam is responsible for more than 1,900 employees at five nursing and rehabilitation centers.
Dirlam holds a bachelors in interpersonal communication from Bowling Green State University and a doctorate in physical therapy from the University at Buffalo.
Previously, Dirlam was a member of the Trocaire College nursing advisory board and a legislative liaison for Western New York APTA.
Dirlam has over a decade of experience in PT and has served as the director of rehabilitation at Elderwood Health Care, according to Linkedin. Most recently, he held the administrator position at McGuire’s Garden Gate Health Care Facility, which he will continue to oversee in his role as regional vice president.
The McGuire Group also has recently appointed two new administrators.
Stacy Bastian will serve as the administrator of the Harris Hill Nursing Facility in Williamsville, NY. She is an alumnus of Trocaire College and has been working with McGuire for 23 years. Prior to her appointment, Bastian held an administrator position with McGuire’s sister portfolio, Absolut Care.
Additionally, Amy Schleer will become administrator of the Garden Gate Health Care Facility in Cheektowaga, NY. Beginning her journey at Garden Gate as a teen volunteer, Schleer has spent 30 years advancing through the ranks of the McGuire Group. Most recently, she acted as a regional quality assurance nurse at McGuire’s corporate center.
The McGuire Group provides skilled nursing care and subacute rehabilitation to more than 2,800 individuals across New York state.
